My own research interests deal with the nineteenth century, specifically religious, cultural, and social history in the long Civil War era (1815/1820-1880). Industrial history in the early nineteenth century has sparked my interest lately as well.

I have uploaded a cover for "The Best School in the World": West Point, the Pre–Civil War Years, 1833–1866 by James L. Morrison. This is from the 1986 Kent State University Press hardcover edition.
