About meNo, I am not a chocolate-striped marzipan bumblebee with almond wings perched atop a chocolate hunnycake. Though sometimes it feels it.

By day I'm a public relations professional for a major Canadian financial services company. It sort of pays the bills.

My off hours are spent doing a number of things, most notably as a food blogger who pins her life adventures and misadventures, thoughts and opinions to what she puts on her plate. My omnivorous ramblings have received attention from Canadian Press, CanWest News as well as was profiled on culture.ca,FoodTV.ca's Food For Thought and listed on Yahoo.ca's In Depth Food and Health Page. My repository of foodish thoughts can be found on SensualGourmet.ca, but my more regular foodish persuits can be found on Confessions of a Cardamom Addict.

But really...I cook so I can eat so I can have the energy to read, which gives me inspiration to cook.

About my libraryI've always been a reader and have tried to keep my reading broad--no sense of sticking to one author, genre or strict subject matter. I haven't yet decided which books to list here, but I'll start with ones I've read...and maybe a wish list...

Chances are any review I post will be for cookery books or any other food-related tome. That might change, but for now that' the way it is.
