About meI graduated from VCU in May! Yaya! Now I'm working in a bookstore that has five employees and one cat. It's fun. I get to touch books all day long and read the backs of them as I clean them. Also I get half off. Plus crazy old men with white beards and big white hair have crazy-awesome requests like, "Do you have books with pictures of the universe and everything in them?" And "Do you have anything that has to do with hypnotism, trance, handwriting analysis and astrology all in one book, with a cool cover?" No one asked questions like that at Barnes and Noble.

About my libraryI use this to catalogue the books that I've read recently, so that I can keep track of my reading habits and actally remember what I've read. Reading is, for me, the number one influence on my writing, so it's good to know exactly what I've been up to and to plan ahead.

Noticed you liked The Glass Castle, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

I only own about six books right now, but after I move this summer I'll probably own zero books. Of course, that's not counting the boxes of books that are at my parents' house. I'll probably go through those this summer, because I'm sure there are some in there that I'd want to keep, but most of them can probably go. I've just been trying to accumulate less stuff in general, so I get books and dvds at the library and I mostly buy music in digital format online. It's nice so far, but I'm afraid that I'll end up a crazy person with one plate and one fork and one spoon and one light bulb that I move from lamp to lamp as necessary.
It's been a while since I read The Weatherman, and I can't remember very much about it. I do remember that I liked it, though, because I know that I kept putting it on display while it was still classified as a "new book" at the library where I work.
