There are several options for adding DVD's to the collection, however, both involve serious time investment. The reason I am willing to do this is because I need to know what I have replaced from my VHS collection and have the list accessible online when shopping. I have also cataloged and tagged every book I own and nearly all my DVD's for insurance purposes, if say my house burned down. I have a friend that this happened to a few years ago and her greatest lament was that she did know the contents of her library to have her insurance replace it.

The sources that work best for DVD records I have found are:
Library of Congress
New York Public Library
Seattle Public Library
ACCESS Pennsylvania
Minerva
ILCSO
Sunnyvale Public Library (recent ones mostly)

I try them all and add the most likely records then look them all over and decide which record is the most accurate then tweak it to my needs and delete the others. Otherwise I add the record manually, then combine them with existing records that I found searching LibraryThing.
