Not sure if you remember me or not, but you reviewed my novel, Dirty Little
Angels, a while back. I'm writing because I'm almost done with my new novel, In
the Valley of Falling Stars, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in
taking a look at it and giving me your opinion. I can send you a complete
summary, but it's essentially about a mentally-ill man living in post-Katrina
New Orleans who becomes convinced that his wife is pregnant with Jesus Christ.
The book is still in process, but the entire book is sketched out, and I
currently have eight chapters that I feel are done. If you're too busy, I
understand. Just thought I'd ask.

Hope you're doing well,

Chris
Thanks for letting me know. Hope you enjoy it...

Take care,

Daryl
Hello,

I just recently joined LT. I find that reading the reviews of those who share some of the same books I have is extremely helpful. Your reviews are so interesting that I am about to go out to find a copy of The Cold Room. I am a mystery-thriller-murder lover and you made this book sound like a hit. I hope I enjoy it. Thanks for the review!

I put up a cover for this if you want it.
I've just uploaded a cover for an old book I picked up at a garage sale called Toys and Games to make by James Webster. I was surprised to notice that three other library thingers have the same book. I once had a 'knitting machine' or what we called French knitting reel - and from its output sewed together a jumper (pullover) that a friend called my "earth worm jumper".

Did you ever try making any of the toys in it?
hey there! awesome collection!
i found that we have at least 35 books in common.
Oh I agree about the crazy prices in Calgary! I missed the book sale, but am going to keep my eye out for next year - used books might be all I can afford in Calgary! LOL Hope your move went well!
Hi cdnshopaholic! I'm a fellow canadian (you ARE canadian, right??) and I came across your library looking for fellow readers of The Garneau Block - there's only 5 of us on here! At any rate, it looks like we share a few books, some of them are absolute faves of mine! ~Miranda
Just checking out your catalog since we overlap a bit and just have to say wow - what a hellaciously pissed-off looking kitty. What did you do, drop a book on him?? ; )
