Hi, cduncan. My apologies for taking so long to write back to you. As you may have guessed, it's been quite awhile since I was last here on LibraryThing; and now I can see that you share lots of books with several people! Thank you for selecting my library as one you find interesting. I just (finally!) upgraded to a paid account so hope to be adding even more books soon. Happy reading!
You have now met a Wavicle :)
cduncan,
I am so sorry I haven't responded to your post sooner; I just haven't gotten onto Librarything in a few weeks - it's a busy time of year! I hope you spent that Border's coupon well!! Chicken Kabala is one of those books on my list to thoroughly read, the most I have done is skim it. My friend Stef, who reads all sorts of things, and is Jewish, really loves it. She loves anything by Duquette. He taught at Between the Worlds conference (the one sponsored by Assembly of the Sacred Wheel in Delaware, not to be confused with the Gay Men's conference of the same name) two years ago, and he is very interesting and presents his information in an approachable manner. If you are just beginning to learn about the Kabbalah, it is a good start.
BB, Connie
Hello and thanks for adding me to your 'interesting libraries' file. I'm fairly new to LT so haven't had too much time to investigate the possibilities and yours is only my second message, so I appreciate your interest. Your library looks pretty interesting, too. I notice you have mainly non-fiction, as I have (I've shed much of my fiction over the years as I led a somewhat nomadic life in the past and couldn't keep all my books - sadly!). We also share a few of my favourite books: Anam Cara, Anatomy of the Spirit (my bible!) The Artist's Way, Women Who Run with the Wolves etc and that you also have some Rumi, which is another favourite of mine. Love your picture! Jo
