I found your comment more a reflection on the subject material that you had a problem with than the quality of the writing. This book was about poor people in a terrible situation. Yes, you might feel dirty but that is life. If you are going to rate a book, then rate the book on its writing. Your problem with the subject matter reflects more on you than on the author.
