About me32 year old vegan spinster living in the desert of Southern California (which means it's too hot to go outside--best to stay in reading). I'm not sure if I really trust people who don't read; it's something I don't understand--like those who don't like sweets and/or chocolate.

About my libraryI'm doing the 999 challenge! Here's my thread with my lists:
http://www.librarything.com/topic/53726

I've only been keeping track of each book I've read since 2004 (in an elaborate and anal-retentive system), but there are many others not here that have been lost from my memory. There are quite a number of "library book" tags since I check out so many, and I like to keep them separate from the ones I own.

I thought about keeping my library private until I had entered all my books, but that's not going to happen anytime soon. So now the bookshelves are open for viewing (and mocking or envying, etc.).

Greetings from Central California!

Just thought I'd send off a wave hello and to say that I've enjoyed
reading your posts. We also share a nice collection of books!

See you in Girlybooks and Virago!
Cate
Thank you for the precious advice and for the wishes!

Hello Amanda,
I agree with you, Georgette Heyer is GREAT comfort reading.
Although I had heard of her, I had never read any of her books, because as a rule I am not fond of romance. But, when I bought a couple of them not long ago, what a pleasant surprise! Now I am finishing "These Old Shades", which I enjoyed if not as much as the Regency ones I have read.
Which ones are your favourite?
Thanks for getting back to me.

Oh! I just noticed that one of your favourite writers is Georgette Heyer! Way to go, girl!!!!!
Check my profile page, and you will see one of her photos as a young woman.

You undoubtedly have an excellent sense of humour, celiafrances (you can tell by your description of yourself and your library)! I am glad you decided to make your library public, and I will relish perusing your bookshelves.
