About my libraryThe books in my library are ones that I have read. I have hundreds & hundres of books in my "TBR" pile and I will add them to my library as I read them.

I do not add books that I have borrowed, only books that I own. To get a complete list of books I have read, check out my blog.

Well, right now I am reading Heartburn...Nora Ephron wrote this fiction based on real life events when she discovered her hubby,Carl Bernstein of Watergate fame, was having an affair with a family friend. It is written in a very amusing, chatty style with recipes thrown in!!!!! Lets see whqat is up on my TBR pile or.....I had downloaded a 1986 movie on cable that stared Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson
I took out a thriller for the scary halloween season called A good and Happy Child from the library....guess that is next.
Just so you know, I loved the political commentary in Julie Powell's book. It had nothing to do with how her mother raised her. Plenty of us feel the same way.

Read some Jen Lancaster instead. All she does is talk about being Republican.
Hi there. I noticed my book, Love and Other Natural Disasters, was in your library, and I wanted to let you know I'm doing an author chat for the next two weeks. It'd be great to see you there!

Hey, saw that you read John Hart's book! Awesome author right? His next book is coming out in May, its called The Last Child! I am pretty excited about it.
Thanks! I'll pass it along to the publisher.
Hi,

The book you won in November's batch of Early Reviewer books, Sima's Undergarments for Women, is available for review only in PDF format. So - we need your email address! Can you email me (abby@librarything.com) with your email address and user name, so we can get you access to the book?

Thanks!
Abby
Great to meet you! Thanks for accepting my friendship. I'm looking forward to checking out your library and I hope you enjoy mine.
Hello,
I just invited you to be my friend,,I just found Librarything and love it,,I also work at a bookstore. I am a bookseller and have been there almost 3 years..I love my job,,I am in Mesa Arizona..talk to you soon,,,
Thanks for answers, I hadn't even contemplated that a book I want might be out of print!

I try not to order books, because I buy too many as it is, and I doubt I could restrain myself from buying most of my wishlist at once.
As you mentioned in talk you were a bookstore manager I have a question.

What in general is bookstores policy on series? Whenever I go into a bookshop I often find that there is only a few parts of a series available. eg only book2 or only books 2,4,5. - but loads of copies of those books. If the whole series was stocked and I liked the opening parts I would often consider buying it all straight out. Without the first book, or with only some books avilable I end up not buying any of it.

Just something that's bothered me, I wondered if there was a general policy or that's just how it ends up?

Fox.
Thanks for the explanation. Have you read "the Spellman Files" yet? I just finished it the other day - slow first half that's almost all character development, but the second part moves along. I'm looking forward to next year's sequel due out in March.
Hi - what exactly is a "warden chaplain"?
