OK!!!! FOUND YOUR NOTE TO ME!!!!!~~~~~sometimes technology mixes me up. And sorry about all the below. . .just delete 'em.
I did download (and read) the book. I haven't yet posted review but wanted to tell you that altho it was interesting it had many sentences like these:
"His eyes danced and his laugh cascaded, tumbling out of his bearded, brilliant smile into surprisingly infectious giggles."
and
"Her delicate earlobes were heavy with carats of Graff diamonds. . . a Cellini wristwatch glittered with gems, beaming like headlamps in the dark."

I cannot count how many such sentences there were! An editor should have red-pencilled the manuscript. (I don't know if this bothered anyone else: it will be interesting to read reviews!)

So, bottom line, I'd say you really didn't miss a 5-star book.
