But personally, given the choice, I prefer not to keep the African boomslang, a wild individual of which did inthe late Karl P Schmidt, whose last article (from 1943) gives precise details of what it feels like to succumb to its effects.
Then again, we all have our least favorites. And we're defined as much by our dislikes as our likes.
