Groups50-Something Library Thingers, 75 Books Challenge for 2009, What Are You Reading Now?

About meI have always loved books. Comming from a very disfuntional childhood books were my heros. I could escape abuse into any type of life described in the stories I read. At this time I am disabled and have time to read. Being able to read and go on adventures with the characters keeps me alive and walking again.

About my libraryI enjoy all types of literature. Reading books written by a variety of people give me a different perspective of life by the characters and their experiences. Since I am unable to travel reading different writers give me a taste of understanding the world outside my immediate environment.

Hear me, four quarters of the world-- a relative I am! Give me the strength to walk the soft earth. Give me the eyes to see and the strength to understand, that I may be like you. With your power only can I face the winds. Great Spirit...all over the earth the faces of living things are all alike. With tenderness have these come up out of the ground. Look upon these faces of children without number and with children in their arms, that they may face the winds and walk the good road to the day of quiet. This is my prayer' hear me!

Noticed you liked The Bluest Eye, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also southern and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

I have just posted my second book and it has lead me to you. What words you have penned that are still dancing within the corridors of my consciousness, wanting to know more of their mother. Thank you for shareing your story bit.
Just saw your comment. Thanks.
I haven't read all those books yet. I'm working on it. ;-)
And I haven't looked at your library yet, but will.
