About meI am now retired after a long career (30+ years) in advertising sales for a major metropolitan US newspaper. I've always had a passion for reading, largely fueled by my paternal grandmother, who often gave me books as gifts (and some of her books are among the most treasured in my library). My parents, especially my father, encouraged my brother and me to read. There were always books in our home, and as I grew, so did my collection. A friend of mube introduced me to Library Thing, and I'm happy to be here.

About my libraryMy books are largely about movies, British and European Royalty, The Titanic, cooking, Christmas, and a wide range of fiction. When people come to visit my home and see my wall of books in the living room, I'm often asked "have you read them all?". The answer of course is "most of them". Only book lovers understand the true joy of owning a book.
