About meYour basic eclectic geek- too many interests to explore any to my satisfaction. I'm a book-hoarder, I must own everything I read, even if I don't plan on reading it again.

About my libraryMost of my library is packed away in boxes since my move 3 years ago, awaiting contstruction of the dream library. I have read most of the ones listed here, except for books tagged "anthro" and/or "repro", which are related to my wife's dissertation work. I've only read a few of those. Oh, and those tagged "unread". Duh.

Books tagged "shelf of fame" are all time favorites, unhesitatingly recommended. At some point I'll get around to adding an opposite tag for simply awful books that I wish I'd been warned away from.

Noticed you liked Clockwork Orange, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a group of violent kids (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:

Just saying hi, and noting that we have an eclectic group of books in common. Love your 'handle'! The other day I was at Archie McPhee's, where I saw a doodad with which you may put Christ or the Virgin Mary's image onto a piece of toast, heh. Everyone needs the url to this place, so here it is:

Don't wait for the dream library, make a rough and ready one now and enjoy them whilst ye may. Oh and we've got quite a nice overlap. Am browsing your 'shelf of fame' list for inspiration :-)
Heartening to see another person who is compelledtoOWNbooksnomatterwhatthecost. Do you have a hard time loaning them out?
We seem to share a good sized stack of books, including plenty of my favorites. Figured I'd just say hi. Love the user name, by the way.
Horror! Two other people have replaced you at the top of my "users with the same books" list! Quickly: order must be restored to the universe by you purchasing copies of "Forever" and "Only You" by romance maven Judith McNaught!!

Or, I guess we can just let entropy slowly engulf life as we know it...your call.
Hey there ... I noticed that you have Love and Death In a Hot Country by Shiva Naipaul. The author is given incorrectly as Vikiadhar Shiva Naipaul and was incorrectly with VS (Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul).

Shiva was V.S.'s younger brother.

Here's the link:

It can be fixed by simply removing Vikiadhar and leaving the name as Naipaul, Shiva.
