Hi Chrock, you seem to have read interesting books, with some from Australia, so I tried to check out your blog, but the link is dead.
Lisa in Melbourne, Australia (http://anzlitlovers.wordpress.com)
You wrote a review of Hunger: "But, the weirdest thing about this edition is the appendix, by its Norwegian translator. This consists of an angry, academically detailed documentation of his outrage at a previous translation. I know nothing of any of this, I'm prepared to believe him. But why is it included here?"

My guess, being (1/2) and knowing Norwegians:

The translator was so taken aback by the translation that he offered to translate it with a fee, providing his notes would be appended.
