About meOne of my greatest joys in life is to curl up in a comfortable chair with a good book and hours to spend escaping to a distant time or land. I am particularly fond of historical fiction, but I enjoy many genres. I must confess that I suffer from a serious case of biblioholism (for a definition, please read Biblioholism: The Literary Addiction - it's hilarious) and am not necessarily wanting to find a cure. I am currently living in Japan as a Navy wife and teaching English to Japanese adults. I am married to a wonderful man who shares my love of all things written. We spend many quality evenings like book-ends on the couch, each with our noses buried in a book.

I like your avatar - Catherine of Aragon? It seems we have many books in common - I look forward to perusing your library and adding to my TBR. I do book reviews for historical fiction if you would like to stop by my blog and take a peek around. www.passagestothepast.blogspot.com

The Other Boleyn Girl is what whetted my appetite for HF. My favorite authors are Sharon Penman, Margaret George, Philippa Gregory, Ken Follett (I LOVED Pillars of the Earth and the sequel, World Without End.
I'll have to give Pride of Carthage a read. I liked Acacia, and David is a nice guy. I converse with him on his blog from time to time. Cornwell is currently my reigning favorite, though :)

Always nice to find other fans of Cornwell, Martin, Follett, and David Anthony Durham. I tend to read Cornwell and Martin the most. I'm currently finishing up the Saxon Chronicles from Cornwell, and I still have A Feast for Crows left to read in ASOIF. I just finished reading Acacia, and a few months back I finished A World Without End. How did you like Acacia? Have you read that one yet, or the Pride of Carthage by Durham?
