About meI'm working as a sysadmin for a science and engineering college in Southern California. I have a degree in anthropology and am very interested in history, especially the early history of science and the history of the 1920s and 1930s.

Hi,

Saw you liked Trainspotting, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reading my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like my novel since it's also about a group of disturbed kids and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi,
I like your review of Soul made Flesh, but it would be even better if you switch round the Glorious Revolution and the Restoration to reflect the historical order, and to put the GR next to the associated replacement of James II by William III. I would also put the outcome of the Civil War in as part of the turbulence and a step along the way, even though it did basically replace one theocracy by another one.
Regards, Jim Roberts
Hi Claire! I saw your profile and I was excited to see that we have so many books in common, but then I saw the size of your collection and I realized you probably have just as many in common with just about anybody!

Happy reading!
