About meI'm a political science major at Hollins University, which means I get to meet a lot of amazing authors, many of which teach here! I'm so lucky. Han Nolan and Wayne Johnston are among my favorite present Hollins authors right now, though you can't beat Annie Dillard (though you have to be in a mood for her, I find). I'm a total geek and nerdfighter, so watch out who you make fun of. I have a lightsaber and know how to use it. My screenname comes from a Moxy Fruvous song called "Canada, We Love You."

About my libraryI'm uploading them as I get them! The ones I've got so far are all the ones I have in my dorm room, and I've got loads more at home. Not to mention my collection of Advance Reading Copies of books I get from volunteering at the YA desk at the library back home :D

Hi commonzeitgeist,

Sorry for the delay in returning your note. (IT problems at the library!)
Your experiences with Johnston as an instructor sound fascinating - what luck that you got into his seminar. My brother, who is a writer has also heard him speak and confirms your good opinion of him.

I've been listening to online interviews with him and I am really looking forward to having him as our guest for the online chat on Thursday. Maybe we'll see you at the chat.

Thanks again for the note.
All the best,
Dawn
Hi,

My name is Dawn Connolly and I am a LibraryThing member and a librarian at Toronto Public Library. I see that you have recently added “Custodian of Paradise” to your library. I run an online book club called Book Buzz and this month we are discussing the book. It’s a friendly group, very relaxed, and we’d love to hear from you, too.

Our website is: http://bookbuzz.torontopubliclibrary.ca

We are also very lucky to be hosting a live online chat with the author, Wayne Johnston, on Thursday, November 22, 7:30-8:30 PM (local time). Please feel free to join in.

And how lucky are you to attend Hollins! Have you taken a class with Mr. Johnston, or heard him speak in person? Very Cool.

Thanks,
Dawn
