About meIt goes without saying that I am a complete book fanatic. I've been this way forever - since I was a kid. Some of my fondest memories are disappearing into my room for hours on a sunday afternoon to read on my bed. Now I am a mother of two boys and I am hoping that they grow up to love books as much as I do. For the past 7 years, I've participated in a book club, but this year it seems the group has decided to disband. I'm not that disappointed, since I can enjoy and find wonderful books on my own without the book club. Still, it was fun to share thoughts and ideas about books with like-minded people. When I found this site recently, I thought maybe this will be exactly the type of forum I am looking for. The other thing is, I have been keeping a long list of books I've read and books I want to read. I am so excited to transfer my list to this site and start checking out others' lists! I mainly read fiction, love historical fiction, and get book ideas from all sorts of websites and blogs. I only wish I had more time to read - then I think I would expose myself to more genres - history, biography, travel, etc. There are just not enough hours in the day to read!

About my libraryUnfortunately, I do not buy books - ever! Although my dream would be to have big, beautiful built-in book shelves in my home full of books I have read and cherished. For now, finances limit me to the library, but that's okay because I love wandering the shelves of my local library. Plus, I believe books are for sharing and enjoying, not merely sitting on a shelf gathering dust.
