About my libraryAs an avid reader, I often find that I write the titles of books on tiny scraps of paper where I can never find them again.
Also, I often find that I start the same book without realizing I have read it before.
So, this list is to keep me organized and hopefully remind me of books I have read and enjoyed so I don't start the same book over and over again!
Also, this is a great tool to serve as an active and up to date reading list of books and so I can throw away those scraps of paper!

As a librarian at a major academic institution in isolated Upstate New York where it is often dark and grey - I spend A LOT of time reading!!!

Coolmama/Librarian: I suggest that most of your "Reviews" belong in the "Private Comments" box. I've just finished Love Anthony by Lisa Genova & was interested in other readers "Reviews".
"F Genova" -- is a meaningless code to others: Does it mean F__K Genova? FAILED (grading) Genova? Fiction Genova? So I went into your site & noted that most of your reviews were meaningless.
I sure hope you are not a cataloguer! Please put these "Reviews" where they belong! Your "system" is F Annoying
Coolmama, I told you I'm an Ithaca grad. I'm also an academic librarian, and see you are too! Ithaca? Cornell? I'm envious!!!

Coolmama, Next to Love actually takes place in Western Massachusetts, not the South, although it sometimes seems like it does. It's up for the Mass Book Award, and the Frankie takes the bus to Amherst. Also, they go shopping in Boston and when Claude comes home from the war, he comes into South Station, in Boston. I actually am an Ithaca College alum, btw.
Noticed you liked The Glass Castle, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Just a quick message to say I am too a huge fan of Nick Hornby, Elinor Lipman and especially Andrea Levy. Also I spent a year in Potsdam so familair with (very) upstate NY! I have just got the new Anne Tyler-proabably my favoutite author-cant wait to read it.

Hi there. I noticed my book, Love and Other Natural Disasters, was in your library, and I wanted to let you know I'm doing an author chat for the next two weeks. It'd be great to see you there!
