About my libraryAs an avid reader, I often find that I write the titles of books on tiny scraps of paper where I can never find them again.
Also, I often find that I start the same book without realizing I have read it before.
So, this list is to keep me organized and hopefully remind me of books I have read and enjoyed so I don't start the same book over and over again!
Also, this is a great tool to serve as an active and up to date reading list of books and so I can throw away those scraps of paper!

As a librarian at a major academic institution in isolated Upstate New York where it is often dark and grey - I spend A LOT of time reading!!!

Noticed you liked The Glass Castle, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi there. I noticed my book, Love and Other Natural Disasters, was in your library, and I wanted to let you know I'm doing an author chat for the next two weeks. It'd be great to see you there!
