About my libraryThis is a list of books I've read, not of books I own. I do not own very many books because I don't really see the point. You can get them for free at the library and if you have more than a few they are heavy and a pain to move if you decide you want to live somewhere else. I am in library school and I work in a library, and in some ways I feel like this explains why I don't feel the need to own books, but in other ways I feel like those facts should make me want to own books and celebrate the sacredness of the printed text or whatever. But I don't want to. I would rather be able to leave town in a hurry, if you know what I mean.

Noticed you liked Out by Natsuo Kirino, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also gritty, a bit violent, and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit.

"I'm afraid that I'll end up a crazy person with one plate and one fork and one spoon and one light bulb that I move from lamp to lamp as necessary." Haha! I actually laughed out loud at this comment. I don't see that as being so crazy or bad! At least you won't have to rent a U-Haul. Or even use a backpack. Just stick your silverware in your pocket and hold onto your lightbulb. : )
re forgetting what [the weatherman] was about but remembering that you liked it...i do that all the time. probably because i swallow books. : )
i admire your not owning books stance. you're right. it doesn't make sense. my catalog is only of books i've read too, but i own WAY too many books. i'm not sure why. honestly, it's probably because i want to look smart when people come over. when i move in july, i'm going to give ALL of my books away. except for the very few sentimental ones that i got as gifts from my grandfather, etc. there's no need to own books, really.
hello,
we have the weatherman by clint mccown in common. it's only us and one other person! i just wanted to see what you thought of it. he is my professor for fiction writing, and i was really impressed by his novel. it had a great pace and i loved his ideas about the subjectivity of history.

Hi!

You totally know who this is.

We only have one book in common.
