About me I wish books could be injected intravenously. They wouldn’t let me start reading until the first grade and I’ve treasured the ability ever since. When I graduated from my suburban high school, I felt I hadn’t really learned anything. I’ve particularly appreciate learning multiple versions of history and understanding the plethora of world views that exist on our planet. I especially enjoy shifting my world view as I continue to read. However, I don’t think books mean much without experience, so I always strive for the balance between study and action. I’m particularly interested in books about race, class and gender. I particularly enjoy reading stories of individuals' lives that span social movements and growth. When it comes to fiction, I enjoy visionary science fiction, African literature and my brother has introduced me to more Irish literature.
About my library I actually think I might need to go to rehab for the amount of books I buy. I used to go to the library very regularly (I lived accross the street). But I really like to have the books I enjoy so that I can share them with others. My dream is to wallpaper my home with books.
