Anyway, I always wanted the Hamilton book and just never picked it up so it is very welcome. And I have long been fascinated with Burr; I believe the Isenberg book is the first treatment by a professional historian, although I did read a two-volume bio by Milton Lomask some years before. These two books are wonderful additions to my library and I thank you very much for putting so much thought into the choices.
I got you as SantaThing, so I hope you like what I selected for you, because it happens to be one of my favorite works of American history.
By the way, I see we both share [1491] in our libraries -- did you read it? Outstanding in every way. I read it and shortly after met the author at an event -- a great guy with a terrific perspective.
Have a great holiday!

Sorry about this! Unfortunately, I don't have much control beyond giving the publishers the names and addresses - from there on it's all them...
