About my libraryCYA Collection consists of children and young adult books housed in the ODL Juvenile Collection. The collection has several functions.

The books are primarily available for visiting Oklahoma librarians to preview before purchasing for their library collections.

They are also made available for the three Oklahoma Sequoyah Book Awards Reading Teams.

The collection also provides a bibliography for the Summer Reading Program each year. Librarians use the bibliographies to purchase books on the current theme.

After two years, the oldest books are divided among the regional consultants and given to small libraries to continue to build their collections.

Tagged books are for the Summer Reading Program bibliography. Tags are the year and overall theme of the Summer Reading Program. The grade level tags are:

Preschool: Birth to Pre-kindergarten
Primary: Kindergarten to 2rd grades
Middle Reader: 3th to 5th grades
Intermediate: 6th to 8th grades
High School: 9th to 12th grades
