I vary my reading with audio versions of some books so that I can combine my needlework with my reading. In 2014 I'm hoping to "read" at least 28 audio versions.

I have my own blog! So many things are keeping me busy, I decided I needed to have a place to talk about it. Check them out! Cheli's Cozy Corner is my personal blog while my book blog is Cheli's Shelves. ONE BLOG WAS NOT ENOUGH!

About my library These are the books that I'm hoping to read this month.

My library is always changing, I buy books and when I have finished them I either donate them to a library or other friends.I only keep the 4-5 star books. Even though I'm still reading from my TBR list, it keeps getting bigger and now my TBR is a mushroom cloud that has erupted and is covering the earth!

COLLECTIONS
My collections organize my books along with tags like this:

My library is actually fairly organized by tags.
Each book is identified by SPOTS - a Collection for Status and Possession of Ownership, a Type tag and a Shelf tag.
1. Collection of Ownership will be such that we know what is owned, read, borrowed
Status READ, CKDOUT, TO READ, CURRENTLY READING
Possession of Ownership MYUNREAD, MCL, OWNED, PC

OWNED (O) Books I physically own
PC (PC) Audio Books ripped to my PC
YOUR LIBRARY (YL) REFERENCE ONLY
MYUNREAD (MU) Owned but not Read
CKDOUT (CK) BORROWED FROM LIBRARY
MCL (MCL) LIBRARY BOOKS /AUDIO TOO
CURRENTLY READING (CR) In Progress
READ BUT UNOWNED (RNO) Sold or donated
TO READ (TR) MU+PC+CK-CR
READ (READ) O-MU+MCL+RBU

2.Then comes the Type tags - ROMANCE, MYSTERY, COZY MYSTERY, FANTASY, FICTION, NONFICTION, CLASSICS, BIO, HISTORY, SPORTS, etc.

4.I'm still in the process of adding Shelf tags tags for the book location - I purchased special indentifying shelf labels but I'm not pushing myself to finish this tagging part.

I don't want to give the false impression that I have over 1000 books in my home, because if there were, my husband would kill me! My library here has what I own, have read, or want to read. IN ESSENCE, IT'S MY VIRTUAL LIBRARY. Now with Collections you see how large my Wishlist is and that's not counting one's I've read about here at LT and am still deciding whether to add them to the wishlist or not.
If you'd like to see what you may have added to the list, check out the Books to Investigate collection and if your ID is there, you are an ENABLER!

If you stop by to check out my profile, say hi! I'm always looking for new friends!

I love this photo! What a fortunate grammy you are!
The only ticker I find is the ROOT ticker, located on my home page. It hasn't moved because I keep reading "2013" books!!
Is it located somewhere else?
Hi Chéli,
I thought I had deleted my tickers. You know, I was really surprised to find that I really, really did not like using them!

Anyway, I think I had three. One for ROOT (which I may have kept) and one for the group you are managing, but which I dropped out of. Let me see what I can figure out.

Sue
[Case of Imagination] is a Nook book, but hip hip hooray, it is a Lend Me. Just let me know and we'll see how this process works.
I really need to learn how to get around LT! I spend more than 30 minutes trying to delete the html on the ticker page!! duh. Thanks for the reminder that of course, to edit a page, one should go to edit!!

Let me know (when the weather gets a bit more seasonal) if you'd like to go to lunch sometime.

My sister just had to get a new laptop. Oh, but does she hate the new Windows! If you have to finally resort to a new computer, consider that and get an apple!!

awwwwwwwwwww the baby is so small she is cute.
Hi Cheli,

My bridge buddies said you and your husband are great additions to the St. Francis group!!

I'm sorry I quit the Lucky 13 in 2013 group. I decided there are too many books I really want to read to spend my time reading the ones that don't grab me. So I may probably still read a few of them, but I don't belong in the group.

I cannot believe how many new books I have acquired this year already! But now I'm stuck wanting to get read of a couple of tickers I put on my home page. I want to keep the ROOTs one. I still do hope to move a few of those books to the "out" pile! But anyway, I went to the "help" page on the ticker site, but it didn't say how to delete a ticker. Do you have any idea?

If this weather ever turns to spring, let's have lunch again?
Sue
Hi Cheli,

I am a little slow getting back on here this week. I saw your message about Nooks and Kindles. Thanks for that information. That changes my outlook on owning one quite a bit. I will always be a person that loves to hold a book in my hands though but that certainly does not discount owning a Nook. And that is the one that I would go for myself. I would just want to read on it, I like to keep it as simple as possible. I have a hard enough time with my computer and cell phone as it is! Thanks for the advice. Mary Beth
Cheli, you sweetie!
Do you really come as far south as Lumberton before you head west for Spartanburg? I'd have to look at a map. Anyway, I'd be thrilled!!!
