About me 47 year-old single female, currently between dogs. Love live music, and am a huge fan of the band Guster. Most of my reading material these days consists of newsmagazines and paranormal romance, with the occasional foray into politics, humor, fantasy, science fiction, vampire/horror, and historical fiction.

About my library All of the books listed in my LibraryThing catalog are in my possession. I have tried to be as accurate as possible with regard to the publication data and covers.

I have lots of books I've never read, and lots I've read over and over and over. Some day I'll have to change piles.

As you've guessed, summer in southwest Florida, when one does not have a swimming pool, is AWFUL! Even my doggies don't want to go out. We just stay home in the a/c. It's our rainy season down here (and hurricane season, as well, knock on wood), so the humidity hovers between 90 and 100%. But thank goodness for public libraries -- I have a pile of tempting books waiting to be delved into. That and some volunteer work (plus now that I've joined LT I'm in the slow process of cataloging my books electronically) manages to keep me busy during the weeks of summer vacation. Oh, the bliss of a good book, some heavenly chocolate, and a warm canine in my lap!
Thanks for posting the link to upload pictures. I'll be trying it out tomorrow or Monday. Nice to meet someone around my age (though I have 4 years on you -- I'll be 50 at the end of August)! I too am single (been divorced since forever) and pretty happily so. I live way down at the other end of the country from you (southwest Florida), and like you I love to read new books and to reread old favorites. Nice to meet you!
Saw on Talk that you picked up Craig Ferguson's Between the Bridge and the River, and I'm hoping you enjoy it as much as I did -- I think I'll reread it now that you've reminded me of it. Put a smile on my face just thinking about it! - ER
