after "No Orchids". Wasn't he sued by Chandler for plagarism?
Just read you Willeford review. I've finished all of Willeford.
He ranks right up there. Ever read "The Machine in Ward 11"?
Horace McCoy is another old favorite. "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" is an
all-time great book.

"The Dead Stay Dumb" by Chase. One of the most hardboiled.
