About meTechnical services/Reference Librarian in a Midwestern theological seminary.

About my libraryMuch smaller collection than it used to be due to shelf space considerations. I enjoy history (Civil War, Ancient, and histories of cities); Young Adult fiction (if you can hold a teenagers attention in this day and age it must be great writing); political writing (particularly about the current, annoying administration); and any number of other genres that catch my eye or attention. I have fairly eclectic tastes and will sit down and give almost any book a chance.

Hmmmm...that amber room looks suspiciously like the one we bought and had installed in our upstairs remodel. I wonder if that's the one? I'd hate to have to give it up and don't even know how to get in touch with the guy who sold it to me. He was in the Home Depot parking lot and had it in the back of a U-Haul one day when I stopped there for plywood and a hotdog.
Yeah, what is up with our species that we can't be happy with the real threats to us but we have to manufacture other crap to be worried about. Sheesh! Lighten up and get a clue, people!
I'm pretty sure you recommended a lot of those to me! I finished The World Without Us a couple days ago and it was just "eh." Sorry, can't all be winners!
