About meI am a recently retired, non-tv-watching woman with time to read some of the zillion books on my wishlist.
About my libraryI like reading or re-reading literary classics, fiction set in exotic (to me) places, and mysteries. Topicwise, I'm drawn to tales of exploration, the immigrant experience, armed conflict and the lives of writers and artists. Quirkwise, I can find guidebooks to long-distance trails, like those published by Cicerone, enthralling, as I imagine myself plodding through muddy fields, through gates, over stiles.
Along with books owned and read, my LT library includes unowned books I've read and consider part and parcel of my being (i.e. I still remember them) and books I own and have committed to reading in the next 1-2 years.
