About my libraryI define my libary as one of refinement found in a poor woman's home. I am prepared for grandchildren (classic nursery, poetry,how-to-read,and nature stories. Remember Gruelle books? Johnny Gruelle's motto "books for children should contain nothing to cause fright, suggest fear, glorify mischief, excuse malice or condone cruelty.
My reference books include speech, writing, Latin, and dictionaries in various languages that I am apt to share with anyone in need. My collection of books of quotes are shelved on a table within an old Oak book holder. On another desk, in another Oak holder, I have my collection of poetry for children, and choice English poetry. I also collect old high school Literature textbooks. Since my interest for reading and writing include Native Americans, pioneer women, any courageous women of bygone days, naturalists such as John Muir, and J.J. Audubon, I always scan the thrift stores for books with old covers, especially those with Dewey D. System markings (this makes it easier to pick them out of the multitude. I have very little money invested in my library, no book carried a price greater than $2. But don't you dare think I would leave these behind when I move! 8 moves in 19 years found me carting those books from place to place, for I did not think it fair to ask a family member, or friend to labor for me (they don't understand the love of books). Some women love purses, shoes, to no adandon, I collect desks, and bookcases!

is a good guide to library cataloguing. There is another basic text, but it is said to be quite dull.

Maybe I can enter all my titles, then.... work on editing my tags as step 2 of the process. If anyone has direction for me please share, okay? I only ask that the info be on the professional level. Thanks.
