Greetings! I'm having a great time adding my library to LT. I'm up to around 680 books, and notice that you and I share 70 of them. That's a pretty good percentage. Anyway, just wanted to send a quick hello from somebody who, apparently, shares you taste in books. Cheers from San Francisco!
I felt compelled to add you to my list of interesting libraries. I have 1300 books and we share 269. I have a lot of Chinese history from ancient to contemporary. We also share an interest in various translations of the Iliad and the Odyssey and Isaiah Berlin. Finding "The Devils of Loudon" in your library was very interesting. I saw the movie, titled "The Devils" and it put me into a two week depression. Overall I am amazed at your collection. I am sure I will be back to browse. Thank you for putting it on LT for myself and others to explore.

I see that we are the only people who have the book Stories of ancient peoples (Eclectic school readings)by Emma J. Arnold. I am just wondering how you ran across such a rare book?
Hey, check out my catalogue. I have several Jewish and Messianic books.
I'm sorry to intrude, but I can't resist noting that we share 349 books in common, which is not a high percentage of your library, but I have only about 850 books in all...
Thanks so much for your input, Deb. Happy reading!
I'm sorry for the intrusion again. I noticed that you have this book, "200 Tips for Growing Vegetables in the Pacific Northwest". Would you recomend it? We live in the Pacific Northwest and curiously enough, are planning on growing some vegetables! :)
Yes, apparently there's two volumes. I have a 1910 edition. It came from my wife, the German speaker in the house. Thanks for your time, Deb, and happy reading. Good luck with your German.
Hi there, you know there is two volumes to "Von Weisen Und Narren", right? Have you ever seen it or do you own it? It seems like there is only three of us who own this book.
i see that we are the only two people who own peter eli gordon's book on rosenzweig and heidegger.
The books we share comprises almost exactly one quarter of my library, which sounds like we have a lot in common--until noting that I own 317 books and you have 7,312. The books we share is only 1.08% of your library. So why am I wasting your time posting this? I guess because the numbers are almost irrelevant to whether people share ideas in common. It would mean a lot more if each person in LibraryThing posted the list of their ten favorite books. Then people would have a clearer idea if they had similar literary interests.
We share 66 works and 103 books, out of my 193 entered. I have a feeling if I enter any more of my pile I will share even more, having just peeked at your Author Cloud.
6272 books in two days might suggest paid minions, but is probably just zeal for books. I was impressed we shared 62 titles until I realized you had over 7000 and still counting. Am trying to imagine 7000 books in my three room apartment. Not happening.
I was getting excited when I saw that you and I shared half the titles I have listed so far, that is , until I saw that you've got more than 7000 (!) books compared to my measly 30 odd. How long did it take you to enter all of them? Did you pay someone??
I came to check out the only other person who has posted that they own Coleridge's marginalia. Generous of you to share your blog site as well; I chimed with your comments on Doyle's The Valley of Fear (one of my favorite Holmeses); also noticed you're reading Freud-- I think the case studies are where he really shines, as a writer, if not always as a diagnostician.
I enjoyed scanning through your library, we share some similar taste in books. I wondered why you haven't made use of tags. I find it fascinating looking at different tag clouds, and how people associate different things to the same book.
Sharing 59 books, almost 10% of my library is amazing. I know others share more with you and I am sure they also share some thoughts about that.
Wonderful library!
What did you think of the teaching company lectures on Augustine?
Welcome! Looks like we share a fair number of books. I'm especially pleased when someone else pops up with Feminist Epistemologies--that book blew me away. :-)
How did you enter 6272 books in two days??
