I understand your preference. Thanks for replying. I had seen a mixture of first last and last, first listing at http://www.librarything.com/catalog.php?..., so had assumed it was simply as-typed in the moment.
I do wish the system did a better job of accommodating personal preference, at least for display purposes. Or allowed an individual to exclude their representation of an author's name from the master catalog.
In fact, that seems like a good feature to request. I'll toss it in the suggestion box.
Incidentally, you can rearrange the listing of author name to first last or last, first by clicking on the pencil image after the a,b,c,... styles. I find that entering books by their ISBN number and allowing the system to fill in the information, the editing the Style of display to be the quickest method of entry.
On a completely unrelated note, just on scanning your Library, I'd recommend Nevil Shute, if you haven't read him.
