About meI write (for a living), I love traveling. Am a divorced grandfather with two lovely daughters and four beautiful grandchildren but I guess I shouldn't be talking like this cos it's not a dating site.

My favourite thing to do in this world is to read. I'm happy not to have a telly as long as I've got a book, or even just the back of a Cornflake packet.

About my libraryAbout 1,000, but only half on LibraryThing yet (have to update ISBNs), ranging from the Oxford Dictionary to The Da Vinci Code, with all stops until the last, which I think is the worst book of all time.

Favourite genre is crime. Authors: Ian Rankin, Lawrence Block, James Lee Burke, Lee Child, Harlan Coben, Reginald Hill, Dennis Lehane, Robert B. Parker, John Sandford, Stuart Woods but much else.

Favourite author is Leslie Thomas (and book of all time is his 'The Adventures of Goodnight and Loving') but close second is Laurie Lee's 'Cider with Rosie'.
