About meI have previously amused myself as a United States Marine, pastry chef, kitchen manager, and press operator in a shampoo bottle labeling factory. I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, studied cuisine abroad throughout France, and performed an internship with a private chef before making the decision to enlist in August 2002. My enlistment in the Marines took me (sometimes briefly) to many different places: Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, and little towns all over Southern California. I am a dedicated Volvo enthusiast and have a crippling office supply fetish.
About my libraryAs I am a student of XXth Century History and Russian Language & Civilization, my library tends to skew toward books on politics, philosophy, and the like. I also have particular interests in the Vietnam War and Eastern Europe of the Soviet Period.
I actually have a great many more books to add to my library, but until I can move to a place where I can have them all readily at hand they will have to remain in storage and uncatalogued.
