About meI've been an Apple Distinguished Educator since 1995. Bought my first personal computer in 1980 - an Apple, of course. I recently retired from forty one years of service as a teacher and school librarian. I'm from an old Cape Cod family with several Mayflower roots and return in the summer each year to "renew the mud between my toes". I fish the surf as well as surf the net. My motto - "Embrace change, don't fear it"
About my libraryHave added a large collection of family's cookbooks.
Have included childrens' books selected for my son. Many of my son's books that he read in grade school have been donated to a school library wiped out by Katrina.
Have lots of ebooks - been reading on Palm devices for close to ten years. Recently purchased an iPod Touch and have that filled with ebooks. And, yes I can and do read whole books on an ebook reader. It's just so nice to carry around a library of 250 books in my shirt pocket, especially my Palm TX and as of December a B&N Nook.

I'm so glad to see the involvement of you and your wife with boys and books! I dont know if you saw my website, but I recently posted a few articles about this year's CCIRA conference. I looked into the IRA conference to give my presentation, but I don't know much about things at the IRA level.
I took a quick peek at your website and I love the list of articles. I will have to take some time and read them all. Would you and your wife be interested in writing an article for my website? I would love to get your thoughts and insights and experiences.
