About meI'm a professor of English at the University of Mississippi, where I also direct the first-year writing program. I've been publishing scholarly books on language, literature, culture, and translation since 1980; my first novel just came out in 2007. I have several other novels and short story collections out looking for publishers, and six or seven full-length plays looking for productions.
