GroupsWhat Are You Reading Now?

About me I'm a cultural anthropologist who got my Ph.D. almost ten years ago. I teach at a small liberal arts college, which I love, and am married to another zany anthropologist who is an "independent researcher." Although I work in Africa, he has a project in Mexico and so we've built a house there and spent many summers and winders in an indigenous village. Despite our advanced age (I'm about to be 42, and he's twelve years older), we just had a baby (after many years of trying, and finally IVF), who's the joy of our lives. With Alana I still manage to read, but my other favorite hobby, knitting, is floundering a bit. But life is long--I'll pick up those sticks again! In the meantime I continue to read fiction because I can't exist without it. So thanks, Library Thing, for helping me keep track of my books and network with other readers.

About my library These are books I have read or want to read. I rarely buy fiction since I buy so many academic books and never read anything twice anyways. I love libraries and have a great one here on campus.
