thanks for the comment and offer. i'm also a newly minted phd -- just defended in october. check out my article on Jovita Gonzalez and domesticity titled "Politicizing Spanish Mexican Domesticity, Redefining Fronteras" recently published in Frontiers. fortunataly, i've had no problem getting reading suggestions from my committee -- working with some leading scholars in Chicana studies over here in Southern California -- I've been very lucky and fortunate. i'm also doing the adjunct gig, but hoping for a tenure check this coming year, 2nd year on the market, crossing fingers, you know how it goes!
