About meTransplanted from Bristol, RI to Florida in 1990. I've recently retired from a career as a software developer and database administrator.
About my libraryEvery book listed exists on my shelves. At some point I have used all of them. I view my library almost like a paleontology collection - but instead of fossils I have books. Each of them contains knowledge, but many are obsolete and superceded by newer ideas. Some are never obsolete - they still contain "living" knowledge. Books can be arranged in families, and evolutionary lines can be perceived in those families. I find this to be a useful metaphor in my cataloging, and I will continue to pursue it.
