About meAn enthusiastic reader from the North West of England. I enjoy literary classics, contemporary novels, historical fiction, detective mysteries, history, politics and biography. When I'm not reading books or computer screens I like to get out walking in the country, so I also like books that reflect this interest.

About my libraryI use LibraryThing to list what I have read or would like to read, rather than necessarily to catalogue books that I actually own.

In my current rating system, two stars are given to books that I did not like for one reason or another. They are not necessarily bad books, they just did not work for me at the time I picked them up. A rating of 2.5 suggests a neutral stance, and anything higher than that denotes varying degrees of enthusiasm. No rating does not necessarily mean that I disliked a book, I might not actually have read it yet!

Hi David,
I'm so glad to hear that I prompted you to pick up More Than Love Letters and, more importantly, that you enjoyed it!
Cheers, Claire
Thanks for commenting on my blog about Heartstone. I read your review with interest. I agree about the implausibility and I think it was this that contributed to my feeling that this book wasn't up to the standard of his earlier ones. Even so, I did enjoy it.
