About meI'm a PhD student in medieval English literature at the University of Toronto. My focus is on Anglo-Saxon literature, and in particular how that literature expresses concepts of free will, subjection, and agency.

In past lives, I've worked in Silicon Valley and negotiated arms control treaties for the Pentagon.

About my libraryWhen I moved from California to Toronto, I shed about two thirds of my books (which are still listed here under the tag "deaccessed"). What remains are mostly those relating to medieval lit and historical linguistics/etymology.
