About meI hail from Louisiana, but I stay in Sunny Denver, Colorado where I attend the a joint doctoral program between the University of Denver and the Iliff School of Theology. I am seeking a PhD with a concentration in Biblical Interpretation. For my master's thesis at Iliff, I wrote about the effects of hypertext on a biblical canon and how it's read through the test case of 1 Timothy. I am in pursuit of my dream of being an interesting teacher of undergraduates.

I'm currently reading Anna Karenina through Daily Lit. It may take forever, but since I'm also currently reading all the assigned texts for a full-time master's degree the fact that I have "fun" reading at all is nothing short of miraculous.

My interests include: writing, rhetoric, literature, literary criticism, Biblical rhetorical criticism, multi-media painting, cooking, sumi-e, wine, craft beer, Pale Ale, really complex and full-bodied coffee, down dog/the warrior yoga poses, slow food, english handbells, pop culture oddities, macrame, jazz, delta blues, singers/musicians who really make you feel their pain, Honda Civics, United Methodism, pan-religious/human cooperation, learning guitar (slowly and painfully), Oxford, England, New Orleans, San Francisco, Berkeley, japanese chins (the dog, that is), world PEACE, windy days, recycles (but knows that reusing and reducing is the other part of the answer), Diet Dr. Pepper and napping that makes you forget who you are momentarily

About my libraryYou'll find an obsessive-compulsive collection from a childhood of reading, a English-loving highschool, an English degree from a liberal arts college, time in a Masters of Liberal Arts program and now a Master of Arts at a school of theology. I spend more money than my graduate student budget allows at booksales and interesting independent booksellers. If someone gets my money, I'm glad it's them!

Well, hey there. I started going through your library--all 777 luscious books of it--but will have to pause for lunch. Suffice it to say I'm incredibly pleased to find that Beezus and Ramona and Biblical Exegesis shared the same page as I leafed through. I got stalled uploading my own library, but I must get back with it. This is the awesomest thing since the Grand Canyon. Maybe I exaggerate a little. . . .
