The sad part about the accidental diplomat was that we haven't had a meaningful book by an Irish Civil Servant about their work, and the culture/s of the departments. It would be valuable.

After it was published, we still lacked such a book.

Glad to see you've defined both the Accidental Diplomat (Jesus!) and the Secret History as hackwork. I was only explaining the other night in the pub just why exactly the Secret History sucked so many balls.
