About meLiving in London so reading essential in order to avoid inadvertent eye contact with people on the tube! Read a lot as a child but lost it a bit in my teens when magazines were more socially acceptable to me. However, once teens were over got back into reading and haven't let go since.

About my libraryHave started to put on books that I have read over the years but is impossible to remember them all so will add to library as I remember them or as I read more!

The Yoga book is one of those library entries that I feel is a wee bit fraudulent (along with Plato's republic, although I have at least read this but only under duress . .) I did go to a Yoga class for about five years and someone gave me the book as a present - but it hasn't been opened since 2001! however I think it's a good book and it was given to me by a yoga teacher!
glad someone agrees about Isabel Dalhousie - began to think I was beginning to be
unreasonably unkind - perhaps jealous of her lifestyle! am enjoying McCall Smith's
new daily tale in the Telegraph however.

Hello and welcome to LibraryThing!

I spent many years reading countless books on the London Underground, but I threw in the towel a few years ago. I miss the guilt-free reading but not the travelling!

Thanks for the note. I am always browsing at work too. Feel very guilty but it is relaxing. What did you think of Confed. of Dunces. The only book we have in common so far and I hated it!! I love Alison Weir though.
