Noticed you liked Out by Natsuo Kirino, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also gritty, a bit violent, and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit.

Sorry to leave you three messages in a row! Believe it or not, I still have not read the other Daphne du Maurier books that I have. I do think that maybe I read them when I was in high school. I remember loving all of her books and reading every one that was in the library. However, it has been so long that I cannot remember which ones I read. So I guess that they will be new to me when I read them this time.

Hi, Ellie!
I just saw your other comment! I have not been to Monterrey, but my daughter has. We went to Vera Cruz for the New Year last year and had a wonderful time. I have been trying to brush up on my Spanish, but it is not so good. Luckily, both my girls are much better at it than I am! :)

Thanks so much for the info on those Russian books. Interesting about the translations. My daughter is wanting to be a translator and the job seems really important to me. I haven't read I Capture the Castle, but I hope to read it this summer. Thanks again and have a great day!

Hi, Ellie!
Thanks for the info on The Savages. Where did you live in Mexico? My daughter's boyfriend is from Monterrey. I think that is quite a big city, but surrounded by mountains. Have a super day!
