About meI'm a reference and technology librarian at the Madison-Jefferson County Public Library in Madison, Indiana. My favorite reading is mysteries and graphic novels both for adults and children.

About my libraryA major chunk of my LibraryThing collection is Three Investigators books. I found my first Three Investigators book at the Riverside Branch of the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library and proceeded to read every one I could get my hands on. 30 years later, I am now collecting the series for fun. Once I get a barcode scanner I plan to add more books to my collection here.

I'm also a fan of Three Investigators books, and read all of the series through Book 28 in my childhood. Since then, through the power of online booksellers and auction sites, I have slowly managed to obtain close-to-mint Gibraltar hardback copies of Books 29 through 43, which were only sold to libraries. For those interested in Three Investigators books, probably your best bet is eBay. Books 1 through 28 are quite easy to get at a reasonable price. Books 29 through 43 will put you out more, with bad copies costing $15 and very rare mint unmarked copies selling for over $200.
I loved the three investigators I have all their early titles. It started my interest in mysteries. I loved Skeleton Island as an adventure story. My kids also read them and my daughter is also studying to be a library technician in Perth Western Australia.
I also loved the Three Investigators as a kid. I have kept all of the books I had back then, and even found a few on e-bay. Do you know of any specialty stores that might carry those I have not yet found? Thanks! -- Rick
I loved the 3 Investigators as a kid, and would love to introduce the series to my boys. I'm not seeing it in mainstream bookstores; where are you finding your copies, if I may ask?
It would be great to share some thoughts with you on librarianship. What I find as I continue to enter books from my collection is that I juxtapose some seemingly irreconcilable philosophies in my collection. Gandhi and Guevara? Redfield and Chavez? Yet somehow it makes sense to me...
