About meI am a 27-year-old IT professional (Huh? How did that happen?). I've just moved from Yorkshire to Newcastle.
I have a lovely brown tabby cat called Chili. Sometimes he curles up in my lap when I'm reading. Alternatively, he chews the ribbon bookmarks in my hardcovers, and he can be particularly helpful with my knitting. ;-)
When I'm not working, reading or travelling, I knit, run, train for my kickboxing red belt and spend far, far, far too much time on the Internet.
About my libraryWell, for a start my library, such as it is, is split across three countries. As I am fluent in 3 languages, and can at least order food and with the help of a dictionary read Harry Potter in another two, my library is multi-lingual.
What I read depends a lot on my mood so my library is pretty random at times. For the same reason I own a lot of books which I haven't read yet - I just was never in the mood for them. I'm sure I'll get around to them eventually.
I mostly buy paperbacks - there are very few authors whose hardbacks I buy (Neil Gaiman, Guy Gavriel Kay, the occasional next part of a particular series *cough*HarryPotter*cough*).
I have a big pile of books in Bulgarian - I shall save these for last as I have yet to figure out how to do Cyrillic on the web in a reliable way. (Edit August 2006: I have now inherited several larger piles of books in Bulgarian, still awaiting to be shipped across. I may need to acquire more book cases, and a bigger house to go with them.)
Oh, and the thing with Marion Zimmer Bradley - I was 13, okay?! ;-)
Edit Jan 2008: This library now encompasses both my and my boyfriend's books. The last house move made them impossible to sort out from each other, and given that we own a house together we might as well take the next step of commitment and have a joint library. ;-)
