Really liked your review of Engels of the Working Class. Checked the subjects against WSJl, NYTimes last week...all topics covered from immigration (Swiss passing a law) and unions...VW, Chattanooga and right to work in Tennessee. Would be a good required text for econ 101
Ok - save it for me. Thanks!
If you consider them just ok - probably not.
The skirts didn't work for me because of the fact that it was freezing cold. As someone who wore skirts in grade school in winter, it's not fun and I doubt many people would do it by choice. Agree on the cave scene.

Got library cards this weekend!
Well....The movie is awesome. Just finished Winter's Bone, think the movie might be better. However, the book did remind me of some key words I haven't used in a while like slickery and purt near.
Hey, how is The Leavenworth Case? I've heard about it a while ago and tried to get it at NYPL but couldn't. Might want to borrow that at some point.
My guess is for most people if you can get a book read in a week that's doing pretty good.
pretty sure I have not read any Faulkner. My completely off base expectation was more along the lines of a male Edna Ferber.
