Noticed you liked The Virgin Suicides, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

I saw your message on the Raising Readers group but for some reason I'm unable to post a message there.
I highly recommend the Sandra Boynton board books for your nine month old (and they won't bore you to death either). They are humourous, rhyming books that all 3 of my children have enjoyed. Some particular favourites are Barnyard Dance, The belly button book, Moo Baa la la la and Horns to toes and in between. There is one with tactile pages that would also be good for a nine month old but the name of it is escaping me right now. I will post it when I remember.
Also Goodnight Moon and Goodnight Gorilla have long been favourites in our house.
