About meI'm a thirtysomething programmer living in Silicon Valley. I'm a book collector, and a slow reader. I mainly read science fiction and cartoon collections, and also collect comic books.

About my libraryMy collection mainly consists of hardcovers (books I want to keep forever) and mass market paperbacks (casual reading). I try to avoid trade paperbacks since they're less durable than hardcovers, yet more expensive and take up more space than mass market paperbacks.

I do a little collecting, but nothing fancy like getting expensive first editions. I have some signed books, but more for the memory of meeting the author than to have a valuable signed book.

I enjoyed reading your reviews of the first three Earthsea books on your website and I think your assessment of why The Farthest Shore falls a little flat is dead on.
I've only listed 68 books so far - some of them non-fiction - and we share 24 of them, so I naturally admire your taste!
